Ashley Howman,
"Food Triggers: Exchanging unhealthy patterns for God-honoring habits" by Amber Lia was everything I hoped and anticipated it would be。 I have been so encouraged as a mother and wife by her Parenting Triggers, Parenting Scripts, and Marriage Triggers books。 These books have encouraged and equipped me as a Christian wife and mother to respond with more gentle and thoughtful biblical responses to the external and internal triggers that so often trip me up or cause angry reactions。 Food Triggers fo "Food Triggers: Exchanging unhealthy patterns for God-honoring habits" by Amber Lia was everything I hoped and anticipated it would be。 I have been so encouraged as a mother and wife by her Parenting Triggers, Parenting Scripts, and Marriage Triggers books。 These books have encouraged and equipped me as a Christian wife and mother to respond with more gentle and thoughtful biblical responses to the external and internal triggers that so often trip me up or cause angry reactions。 Food Triggers follows a similar layout addressing thirty-one food triggers which are divided into external and internal triggers。 There are so many relevant tips and suggestions throughout this book about forming new habits, but more than anything I feel within the pages of this book is the restorative, life-giving encouragement to "let this be a season when you learn to awaken hope that God is who he says He is。。。that He will meet us in our weakness。。。and that we can pray with expectation for the Holy Spirit to transform us" as we keep moving forward。 Amber Lia gently draws readers up into maturity to wrestle through these Triggers and shares her story with vulnerability。 You cannot help but read these words and be encouraged with the truth and hope。 。。。more

I love Jesus and I love food, but I want to love Jesus much more than I love food。 I'm triggered。 In her newest book, Food Triggers, Amber Lia addresses 31 triggers that plague our everyday lives whether external or internal。 She begins each chapter with a personal story and weaves a practical and spiritual lesson which ends with a heartfelt prayer。 I identified with so many of these triggers。 Amber says, "The spiritual tug-of-war to exchange unhealthy patterns with God-honoring habits is the ul I love Jesus and I love food, but I want to love Jesus much more than I love food。 I'm triggered。 In her newest book, Food Triggers, Amber Lia addresses 31 triggers that plague our everyday lives whether external or internal。 She begins each chapter with a personal story and weaves a practical and spiritual lesson which ends with a heartfelt prayer。 I identified with so many of these triggers。 Amber says, "The spiritual tug-of-war to exchange unhealthy patterns with God-honoring habits is the ultimate food fight。" We do not have to struggle on our own。 Amber shares that these triggers are an opportunity for us to lean on our heavenly Father。 This is not only a physical transformation, but a spiritual transformation。 The heart of this author is to urge the reader to break those chains of food triggers and replace with God-honoring habits。 Are you ready for the journey? 。。。more

I am grateful to Amber for her willingness to be honest about her struggles。As I have read her books, I find myself in the pages。 As she writes about her food triggers, I see many of my own。This book is well-written and gave me some added motivation to continue my own health journey。I am most grateful for her use of Scripture throughout the book。For me, health is about so much more than a number on a scale。 It is about my whole being。 I cannot work on my own health without incorporating my relat I am grateful to Amber for her willingness to be honest about her struggles。As I have read her books, I find myself in the pages。 As she writes about her food triggers, I see many of my own。This book is well-written and gave me some added motivation to continue my own health journey。I am most grateful for her use of Scripture throughout the book。For me, health is about so much more than a number on a scale。 It is about my whole being。 I cannot work on my own health without incorporating my relationship and dependence upon the Creator。Thank you Amber for another well-written and encouraging book。Cheers!! 。。。more

Sarah Wiley,
When we struggle with food issues there are almost always triggers behind that struggle。 This book addresses both the struggle and the triggers without guilt but rather with hope。
Jessica Luckett,
This book has impacted my life a lot。 It has not only put into perspective a lot of things that I was already questioning but it has also helped me grow spiritually。 The part that stuck out the most to me was when it talked about boredom eating。 I am a total boredom eater but that is going to change thanks to Amber for writing this amazing book。
Karmen Litton,
So far, I'm loving the easy read。 The short chapters are helpful for busy people。 Read 1 chapter a day and you can get through this book in a month。 This book helped me realize how to manage my emotions better so I can better handle my "emotional eating。" I want to honor God by honoring my body, and Amber Lia really is helping me get there。 So far, I'm loving the easy read。 The short chapters are helpful for busy people。 Read 1 chapter a day and you can get through this book in a month。 This book helped me realize how to manage my emotions better so I can better handle my "emotional eating。" I want to honor God by honoring my body, and Amber Lia really is helping me get there。 。。。more

O my goodness! What a journey this book has been! It felt like Amber was reading my mind with each chapter; addressing my most secret concerns and doubts。 This book is not another diet book。 This book address the reasons WHY you might struggle to loose weight or keep it off。 This has brought so much perspective and freedom!

I am so excited about this book!!! Over these past couple of years I have been on a journey to improving myself。 One of the things I have learned is that I have had an unhealthy relationship with food。 I’ve used it for entertainment, comfort, stress relief, instead of it’s intended purpose as fuel。 This book looks at many of the common triggers that cause us to overeat and gives great spiritual instruction and practical examples to help change those ingrained and destructive habits surrounding f I am so excited about this book!!! Donna,
Food Triggers by Amber Lia was a great book for me。 I enjoyed how she broke the book into 30 small chapters to read one a day。 The daily prayers alone would be a huge help to Christian wanting help with eating issues。 The book is divided into two sections: Internal and External food issues。 And she addresses each one from a practical and Christian standpoint。 I truly enjoyed the book – admittedly I read over half of it in one day。 My book study group is planning to read it together in January。
Alyssa,
This book was informative and very helpful。 I think it will help me with my junk food addiction, particularly chocolate。 By understanding why I rely on them, I can better conquer them。
